World Liberty Financial, the nascent crypto project with close ties to U.S. President Donald Trump, has announced a partnership with Vaulta, the Web3 banking firm formerly known as EOS.
Vaulta will integrate World Liberty’s WLD1 stablecoin into its web3 banking solutions as part of the partnership. In return, World Liberty Financial will hold $6 million worth of Vaulta’s A token (also formerly EOS) in its Macro Strategy reserve, which the project uses to diversify its crypto holdings between assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, and others.
World Liberty bought the Vaulta tokens in May, according to CoinDesk. The price of Vaulta is up about 30% since the start of July, according to The Block’s Vaulta Price page.
Through the partnership, the firms “aim to enhance liquidity, expand real-world asset access, and bridge the gap between traditional finance and decentralized platforms,” according to a press release.
“Both Vaulta and WLFI believe in a more accessible and transparent financial system, one powered by real-world asset tokenization and seamless payment solutions,” Vaulta Foundation founder and CEO Yves La Rose said. “Our collaboration brings us one step closer to realizing that vision.”
World Liberty’s Macro Strategy reserve has come under criticism in the past. “The [reserve] also offers a way for global interests to sway favor with the Trump family without having to directly make political donations or comply with political bribery regulations,” Two Prime Digital Assets CEO Alexander Blume previously told The Block. On Tuesday, World Liberty loaded up on an additional 3,400 ETH for $13 million, bringing its total ETH holdings to about $275 million.
World Liberty Financial token holders have voted to make WLFI tokens tradable in a governance decision last week. The project’s founders noted this transferability could be unlocked within the next 6–8 weeks.
