Asset manager WisdomTree is extending the full suite of its tokenized funds onto Solana, according to an announcement on Wednesday. While the move is not the firm’s extension beyond the EVM ecosystem, it represents a significant step in advancing its “multi-chain deployment strategy.”
Retail and institutional investors will now be able to access WisdomTree’s range of money market, equities, fixed income, alternatives, and asset allocation funds and products “natively on Solana,” as well as use WisdomTree’s stablecoin conversion service for Circle’s USDC and PayPal’s PYUSD.
“Bringing our full suite of tokenized funds to Solana reflects our continued focus on regulated real-world assets across the onchain ecosystem,” said Maredith Hannon, head of business development, digital assets at WisdomTree. “Solana’s infrastructure, which focuses on high transaction speeds, allows us to meet growing crypto-native demand while maintaining the regulatory standards institutions expect, giving both institutional and retail investors more seamless, onchain access to tokenized funds.”
On that front, the WisdomTree Connect platform for institutional investors will now also allow all existing WisdomTree tokenized funds to be minted directly on Solana and provide B2B/B2B2C tokenization support.
In addition to holding and managing onchain fund positions on Solana, institutional investors may also be able to interact with Solana-native applications and protocols, “subject to applicable institutional risk controls,” and self-custody their holdings using Solana-based wallets.
WisdomTree is an active Wall Street participant in the growing real-world asset space, and has deployed funds on a range of Ethereum-based and Ethereum-adjacent chains Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, and Optimism, as well as the non-EVM chain Stellar. RWA.xyz shows it manages assets worth over $772 million across its multi-chain deployments.
This includes a leading money market fund, the WisdomTree Government Money Market Digital Fund (NASDAQ: WTGXX), and equities-based products like the WisdomTree U.S. LargeCap Fund (EPS) and WisdomTree U.S. Quality Dividend Growth Fund (DGRW). It also offers funds with various fixed income exposures and based on private credit investment models.
There is currently over $1.3 billion worth of onchain real-world assets on Solana, making it one of the most popular chains for tokenization, according RWA.xyz.
